Ovation is a program that visually enhances your PowerPoint slideshows. Ovation was developed by Serious Magic. Adobe Systems acquired the company in October, 2006. Since then, they´ve been selling Serios Magic´s products.
This program enhances the look of slides generated by Microsoft Power Point through the use of themes, called "PowerLooks", gentle motion, high-resolution text, and dynamic TV-style transitions. It is also possible to use Ovation´s built-in presentation tools to generate special slides that will be inserted in the presentation (Walk In, Walk Out, Heading, Subheading, Intermission).
When you launch Ovation, the program will also launch the Microsoft PowerPoint version you have got installed. It seems to have some compatibility issues with PowerPoint 2007, but it works if you start PowerPoint in compatibility mode. It will only import presentations saved in PowerPoint 97/2003 formats. The demo version of Ovation will place a rotating icon on the first slide, warning that the presentation was made using a demo version, and offering you to buy the product. |
